The 1969 Chevelle serves as an ideal foundation for an exhilarating resto mod project. Among these remarkable builds, one standout model has earned the moniker “Malibeast,” a truly befitting title for such an extraordinary vehicle. This car embodies a seamless fusion of classic aesthetics and contemporary horsepower, resulting in a ferocious street machine capable of unleashing its rear tires at will.

The proud owner and mastermind behind the Malibeast, Swan, embarked on this transformative journey with the proceeds from his childhood paper route. Despite its dilapidated state, having weathered the elements under a humble tarp, Swan’s determination remained unscathed as he acquired the Chevelle. Over the course of 22 years, he painstakingly reconstructed and reimagined the Malibeast, striving to manifest his vision of an outrageously enjoyable street car.

At the heart of the Malibeast lies a salvaged 6.0 LS engine block, meticulously enhanced with forged internals. Providing an additional surge of power is the TVS 2650 supercharger, expertly integrated into the LS engine by Boost District Superchargers.

This potent combination delivers an astonishing output of nearly 600 horsepower and over 640 lb-ft of torque. Swan takes control of the gears himself, courtesy of a T56 transmission. Enhancing the Malibeast’s interior, Swan has installed a Billet Specialties steering wheel and Dakota Digital gauges, adding a touch of sophistication to the adrenaline-fueled experience.

Swan’s unwavering commitment to excellence extends beyond the Malibeast’s performance capabilities. Aesthetics also played a crucial role in his meticulous craftsmanship. The car underwent a meticulous process, commencing with a black primer undercoat, followed by the application of the 2012 Camaro Corvette Ashen Gray Metallic paint. This distinctive approach imbues the Malibeast with an ominous and enigmatic allure that sets it apart from the crowd. Completing the striking visual package are the Billet Specialties Street Lites wheels, contributing to the car’s perfectly aggressive stance.
